CANCELLATION POLICY

 

Cancel 7 days before reservation – 100% refund

​

Cancel less than 7 days before your reservation – 50% refund (we will absorb the service fees)

​

Cancellation during the month of November - no refund

 

DAMAGES AND/OR INCIDENTALS

​

You will be responsible for any form of neglect, abuse or damages to the cottage or its surrounding area caused by you or any member of your party during your stay.

 

HOUSE RULES

​

Check-In – after 3:00 pm

Check-Out – 11:00 am

​

Parties or Events must be discussed, arranged and approved before the reservation is set.

​

No Smoking inside or on the porch of the cottage. If you choose to smoke in the yard you are responsible for picking up your cigarette butts and trash.

​

Maximum Guests – We have sleeping for 5, if more are in your party please discuss this with management and arrangements may be accommodated. Each guest will be required to complete a liability waiver during the check-in process.

​

The only outside fire permitted is in the fire pit area (no fire rings or other fire devices permitted).

​

Wi-Fi is available at Kentucky Hills Country Cottage but we do not guarantee internet connectivity, speed or even cell phone service. For cell phone service you may see if you have coverage for the area or see if they can bounce signal off of the towers that are located within 7 miles of the cottage.

Pet Addendum to Liability Waiver

​

• Pets are welcome at our Cottage only if arrangements are made in advance. Your pet(s) MUST be well behaved. You will be solely responsible for any damaged or personal injury caused by your animal.

 

• Non-Refundable Pet Fee – A $50 per animal non-refundable pet fee will be applied to your reservation. This fee does not cover damage to the property or grounds resulting from but not limited to chewing, scratching, digging and housetraining accidents. We request a limit of two (2) animals (cats or dogs) with $50 for each animal, if you show up with additional animals you may be asked to leave without a refund.

 

• Damage - Guests agree to pay any costs for damages done by their pet(s). If damages are not reported but are found by owners/agent, it will be documented and necessary replacement or repair costs will be charged to the guest’s credit card on file.

 

• Guests agree that their pet is housebroken. Your pet(s) should be at least 1 year of age or older, they should have control of their bladder and can resist the urge to chew, scratch or dig.

 

• Do not leave your pet unattended for long periods of time. A crate is ideal for situations in which you must leave your pet unattended. You are responsible for any damages your pet may cause.

 

• Pet Laws for Kentucky - Guests agree to adhere to local ordinances, leash laws and licensing requirements. The Cottage property is 100% (no exceptions) a leash area.

 

• Guests agree to keep their animal under control at all times.

 

• Noise & Roaming - Guests agree to not allow their pet(s) to bark excessively or to roam the property. Due to the abundance of wildlife in our area you need to have your pet under control at all times. Noncompliance may lead to eviction without refund.

 

• Pet Waste Pickup - Guests agree to clean up after their pet(s) & dispose of their pet(s) waste immediately after their walk.

 

• Vaccinations & Rabies - All pet(s) must be up to date on their rabies vaccination and all other vaccinations.

 

• Flea & Tick Prevention - All pets are to be treated with topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. Fleas and ticks are prevalent in this area. All items above are the sole responsibility of the pet owner.

 

• No Pets on Furniture - Guests agree that the pet will not get on the furniture or bedding. Grooming your pet prior to their stay at the Cottage, particularly if it is a breed prone to shedding is a suggestion. Pet hair/fur can be difficult to remove. Extra cleaning fees may be charged if the additional cleaning is necessary to get the Cottage ready for the next guest coming in.

 

• Pet Bedding & Comforts - Guests are encouraged to bring any bedding or crates that their pet(s) are used to having around them in their own home. If necessary, extra cleaning fees will be charged for the cleaning of furniture, blankets, comforters, etc. that have excessive pet hair left behind. This may include professional cleaning.

 

• Cleanliness - Guests agree that pet(s) will be cleaned & dried thoroughly after a walk before entering the Cottage. Guest linens & towels should never be used on your pet!

 

• Guests agree that pet(s) will not be washed in the bathtub or shower inside the Cottage. This must be done with the hose located in the parking area. We have several local groomers who offer pet bathing services and we are happy to help you coordinate an appointment if needed.

 

• No personal pet beds or other such items should be put in the washer or dryer!

 

• All excess pet hair/fur will be swept, vacuumed or otherwise picked up and removed from the inside of the Cottage prior to departure.

 

• Dangerous Animals - “Vicious or Dangerous Dogs” listed on most insurance policies (i.e. Pitbull, Doberman Pinchers, etc.) or with any tendency or disposition to attacking or biting are not permitted at any time.

 

• KHCC will not be responsible for guests’ pet(s). Guests agree to pay KHCC promptly for any damage, loss or expense caused by their pet(s).
